This kit allows you to power an EdgeRouterPOE-5 with 48V DC, so that it can then provide both 24V and 48V POE outputs.
Background
The EdgeRouterPOE-5 is designed to support both 24 and 48 V POE outputs, but Ubiquiti only ships the product with a 24 V power pack which limits the functionality to 24V POE outputs. To use both 24 and 48V POE outputs, you need to provide your own 38~54 V, 60W DC power pack.
With this kit you use a Ubiquiti POE injector, and a small splitter cable to supply the EdgeRouterPOE-5 with 50V, 60W giving full 24 and 48V POE functionality.
