This product adds extra protection to a Ubiquiti Rocket
and its pigtails when mounted outdoor on a Ubiquiti antenna.
It provides:
- Physical protection from sun, rain and birds.
- RF shielding of the Rocket Electronics. This helps minimise possible interference among multiple Rockets mounted on the same pole. The RF shielding is provided via a conductive inner coating.
Application
The Ubiquiti Rocket is designed to clip on to a number of Ubiquiti antennas. The antenna pigtails provided with the antenna make the connection between the Rocket and the antenna. These pigtails are outdoor rated and built to be waterproof.
However, some customers prefer to use the Rocket Cover to add extra protection against:
- Direct exposure to rain
- Direct exposure to sun
- Possible attack by birds
