This is a 2-way splitter that can be used to connect two antennas to a single Access Point (AP).
Typical Applications

|
- Making custom antenna patterns. If your ideal antenna has a beam that points North and West but nowhere else, it would be simple to combine two directional antennas with this splitter into one virtual antenna with the beam pattern you want.
- Applications where normally two antennas and two APs would be used - but available power limitations (eg Solar Power site) dictate that only one AP can be deployed.

Keeping it Legal
This unit splits the power by about 50% to each antenna. The table below shows the maximum gain antennas that can be used with the splitter. Antenna cables losses ignored.
Transmit Power from AP or Amp | Splitter Loss (dB) | Antenna Gain (dBi, max) | Effective TX Power (EIRP, dBm)
|
|---|
| 90 mW (19 dBm) | -3.5 | 20.5 | 36
| | 130 mW (21 dBm) | -3.5 | 18.5 | 36
| | 200 mW (23 dBm) | -3.5 | 16.5 | 36
| | 500 mW (27 dBm) | -3.5 | 12.5 | 36

Features
- Weatherproof
- Pole-Mount included
- Industry standard N-type connections
Installation Hint
While the ELC-SPLIT unit is sealed, the three cable connections will need to be weatherproofed after installation. We recommend wrapping each connection with Conforming Tape. See options below.
