This antenna is ideal for use with a wireless 'client' to increase the signal from an Access Point (AP) located somewhere else. For example, you may have an AP located in the study, and the signal is OK throughout the house....except to the bedroom PC. Adding this setup to the bedroom PC would significantly boost the signal received.
The base is made from low-loss components throughout, specifically for 802.11b/g WiFi wireless networking. It comes with 3m of low-loss CFD-200 coax cable terminated in an rpSMA connector. (Adapters to other connector types available). The mount has a non-scratch, non-slip base to protect your desk.
