Fast, Point-to-Point-to-Point Solution
This Point-to-Point-to-Point (PtPtP) product is ideal for applications where:
You are limited at the central point due to power restrictions (eg Solar only) and want to limit the power consumption to just one radio.
It is not ideal where:
You are not limited at the central point due to power restrictions. In this case, it is better to buy two separate
PtP links
and join the two links at the central point with a length of CAT5 (or LAN switch). Two joined PtP links joined will be faster.

Note:
Antennas and antenna cables are not included as every application will be different. Please

1 x
Ubiquiti RocketM5
unit. The Rocket is high performance, two-antenna (MIMO), Wireless-N unit. It will accept single antenna (SISO) connections.
2 x
Ubiquiti BulletM5-HP
units. The BulletM5-HP is a high power, single-antenna (SISO), Wireless-N unit.
3 x Ubiquiti POE injectors, with AC power cords.
3 x
20m External, Grounded POE cables
.
3 x Configuration and testing. We configure all 3 units into a PtPtP bridge link and test.
Applications
You have no clear Line of Sight (LOS) and need to pass data through a mid-point. The mid-point will have LOS to each of the two end-points. In some cases the mid-point may be a hill-top or a building between the two end-points.
You want to join 3 locations and pass data among all three. The ethernet port at each of the three nodes is available to pass data so you could join three building LANs with this product.
Features
50+ km max. range per hop. Clear Line of Sight (LOS) required between the antennas.
150 Mbps max connect speed, giving a TCP/IP throughput of 38 Mbps (as measured by Freenet Antennas).
Easy pointing. The Bullets have an external LED display giving the received signal level.
Layer 2 bridge link. This is not a routed link - meaning you are effectively joining two buildings into one virtual LAN. LAN protocols like DHCP and Microsoft Networking work across the bridge without any configuration. Because the PowerStation units are effectively 2-port learning network switches, they do not pass unnecessary LAN traffic to the other building. That is, LAN traffic between PCs in Building 1 does not flow over the wireless link into Building 2; maximising available bandwidth and performance.
Outdoor use.
Choice of Antennas. You can choose directional antennas from our
range of 5 GHz
directional antennas.
Supplied with mast mounting kits.
Maximum legal power for Australia. You can not deploy a more powerful WiFi system in Australia.
Cisco™ VLAN and VoIP compatible. This product is compatible with Cisco™ VLAN and VoIP products.
Mounting
Each Bullet and Rocket comes with a free pole-mount. The antennas will come with their own mounting kits.
Default Configuration
This is the default configuration that we ship. If you prefer any of these values changed for your order, just tell us in the comments part of your order.
WiFi mode:
WDS.
WiFi channel:
152 (5760 MHz)
Channel width:
40 MHz
TCP/IP address:
192.168.1.201 and 192.168.1.202. Note: these do NOT have to match the network addresses you are using on your LAN. In fact, it is much better if they are not part of your LAN address space. The only time you would want to change these is if you ALREADY are using these addresses on your network and they would clash.
TCP/IP subnet mask:
255.255.255.0
Encryption:
WPA2-AES
Login:
We leave the login/password at factory default (ubnt/ubnt). You then change the password when the equipment is installed.
